What is Speech
& Debate Club?
Why should I join?
The Speech Debate Club offers students a unique platform to develop their public speaking, critical thinking, and argumentation skills, following the guidelines set by the National Speech and Debate Association. Participants engage in various categories, including Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Congress, and Individual Events like Novice Reading, Dramatic Interpretation and Oratory. Notable alumni such as Jessica Chastain, Zac Efron, Opera Winfrey, Janet Reno, Colin Kahl and many more credit their success to the skills honed in speech and debate, showcasing the profound impact this activity can have on an individual's career. Join us to enhance your communication skills and build confidence for future endeavors!
